A race to remember. A memorial event to celebrate the life of Ken Bingley and those close to us we may have lost
The event commemorates the life of Ken Bingley who had a very long and successful running career with Wakefield Harriers and then Ackworth Road Runners. He was well known on the local race circuit and at Pontefract Parkrun. An inspiration to many, he set club age category records at all distances and was a regular at the London Marathon. A true gentleman who always had time to offer advice and support to newer runners. We encourage all participants to use this event as a memorial and celebration of those who we may have lost. All participants will receive a memento. As a primarily charity fundraising event there will be trophies available for the first 3 male and female finishers ALL PROFITS WILL BE DIVIDED EQUALLY BETWEEN THE MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SOCIETY AND YORKSHIRE AIR AMBULANCE
